Essential Oils.  It’s what everybody in wellness and chronic wellness are talking about.  In fact – the number one question I get asked is “how” I used essential oils to support my recovery from  chronic illness.  (You can read my interview with the fabulous oil maven Libby Louer HERE.

You may know about essential oils from a massage or a diffuser in someone’s home or office.  Or you may have tried them yourself – they do after all smell amazing.

But have you given full credence to this powerful and amazing resource. I am constantly stunned by how powerful and effective they are – and that they are so readily accessibly – and relatively inexpensive!

Oils also have the miraculous ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and help work their magic inside the brain – where cancer, Wellness disease and other maladies are sadly able to evade so many other “treatments.”

We’ll be doing more sharing about essential oils – how to use them for best effect – how to store them – etc etc – but for now I want to introduce you to Kyle McHargue.  Kyle is an essential oil evangelist having had his entire LIFE transformed after he started using Wild Orange for lifelong depression.  You can hear his story HERE in an awesome Shift Series interview.  Kyle’s shares this protocol with us and is excited to inspire more people to dip a toe (or jump right in!) to using essential oils as part of your daily wellness routine.

Enjoy!

KyleMOOD MANAGEMENT:

There are several oils and blends that are often great to try when you might not be feeling your best. Mood is such a gray area person-to-person so I will mention a few emotions or feels you might be having a their “go to” oils. Feel free to mix, combine or experiment with these to find what works best for you!

If you’re feeling:

Angry, Impatient, Anxiety, or Stomach Ache/Headache associated with Stress try SERENITY!

SERENITY is really calming, soothing, reduced anxiety by lowering cortisol levels, and can help ease nervous tension and sooth the mind. Try diffusing, or adding 2-3 drops to a warm bath, or apply a few drops topically for a restful sleep.

If you’re feeling:

Tense, Worried, Upset stomach and Neck Pain try BALANCE!

Balance is really grounding and balances the mind and body, releases anger, promotes a positive attitude, helps with mood swings and releases emotional blocks. Try applying a few drops topically to the back of your neck and behind your ears or diffusing. Balance is also good for children with ADD and ADHD.

If you’re feeling:

Unmotivated, Discouraged, Chest Tightness, or Brain Fog try CITRUS BLISS!

Citrus bliss is one of my favorite oils! It can promote physical energy, be invigorating and uplifting, alleviate anxiety and help ease nervous tension. This is a really great oil to diffuse to help improve your mood, but frankly it just smells awesome!! I also place a few drops in my hands, cup them and inhale for approx. 20-30 seconds.

Lastly I want to mention one oil that holds a place in my heart. Wild Orange. This oil literally changed my life. It allowed me to stop taking my antidepressants and has really helped shape me into the person I am today.  It’s chemical constituents have been proven to have anti-depressant qualities. It also promotes a feeling of warmth,  happiness and can help calm nervous digestive issues. Every morning I put 2-3 drops in my hands, cup and inhale for 20-30 seconds. I repeat this whenever necessary.

I love  Life Long Vitality supplements daily to improve energy and reduce fatigue/pain. I also recommend eliminating caffeine and refined sugars. Mito2 Max supplements are great as a natural alternative to caffeine. Lastly, drink plenty of water and absolutely make time to exercise at least 3 days a week for up to 45 minutes (no excuses!). Exercise causes endorphin and serotonin dumps in the brain! Mood Management is about making numerous lifestyle changes to help you feel awesome, love yourself, improve your glow and share it with the world!
